REGISTRATION

Piano Lessons VK is accepting students of 5-year-old and older. Complete registration form to secure the spot. Re-registration for current students is due May 31. New families are welcome to contact by email to schedule a free 30-min introductory meeting.

STUDIO CALENDAR 2019-2020

The school year is divided into three terms:

  1. Sep 5, 2019 – Nov 26, 2019 (Fee due Aug 28, 2019)
  2. Nov 28, 2019 – Mar 3, 2020 (Fee due Nov 26, 2019)
  3. Mar 5, 2019 – Jun 11, 2020 (Fee due Mar 3, 2020)

Holidays

  • Dec 22, 2019 – Jan 6, 2020
  • Mar 16, 2020 – March 19, 2020
  • Apr 9, 2020 – Apr 14, 2020

Performances

  • Yearly Recital Apr 26, 2020
  • Kiwanis Festival End of April 2020

TUITION

30 min lesson – $28.00
One time registration fee $30.00 for each student.
Books are not included in the tuition fee.
Tuition is due and payable in advance at the beginning of each term upon receiving an invoice.
Cheques are acceptable and payments should be made to Piano Lessons VK.
E-transfers are acceptable, payments should be sent to info@pianolessonsvk.com.

MISSED LESSONS

Due to the teacher’s limited availability, makeup lessons are not permitted. Please be advised that there are no refunds or discounts for the missed lessons unless the teacher was unable to make it.

Lateness to the lesson cannot be made up. Late arrival is still counted towards the lesson time.

Illness: Students who are ill should not come to piano lessons. The teacher reserves the right to send a student home if they arrive sick. Lesson missed due to sickness could only be rescheduled at the end of the school year.

WITHDRAWAL FROM THE LESSONS

Refunds are not available for withdrawal from the lessons.

STUDIO

Attendance – Regular attendance is essential to make progress. 24 hours notice is required to reschedule the lesson.

Being late – We kindly ask all our students to be on time for their lesson. The teacher is on a schedule and may not be able to make up missed time.

Grooming and studio use – Hands should be clean and nails need to be cut short. Boots/shoes should be removed at the door.

Practice – Practice makes perfect! Daily practice is essential to successfully master skills. Parents need to limit distractions and set a specific schedule to ensure regular practice. The piano should be tuned.
